I’ve been fishing this rod now for over a year and I absolutely love it, so I figured it was time to do a review.

The Vision Rivermaniac is one of the mid-level rods from Vision. While they do have some incredible Graphene rods in their lineup for around $1000, I think that the Rivermaniac fits nicely alongside their Nymphmaniac rod (which we also reviewed), as the perfect trout-specific and dry fly rod.

This is probably my favorite rod that I have now, aside perhaps from the Sage R8. It’s a great rod and for around $500, it’s really hard to beat.

The blank recovery rate is excellent, the accuracy is great and it has the perfect swing weight for a light 5-weight. It’s a dream to cast.
