America’s Cup 37 in Barcelona this October will be exciting! Originally raced in wooden schooners traveling at 10 knots, this Cup will see carbon-fiber monohulls hydro-foiling above the water at 40+ knots. New York Yacht Club’s American Magic is one of five international Challengers trying to wrest the Cup from New Zealand. America’s Cup Hall of Famer, Gary Jobson will share his insights on what’s new with the oldest competition in sport. During a WYL in 2021, Jobson accurately predicted that “New Zealand would beat Challenger Italy seven races to three.” Jobson will also preview sailing in the Paris 2024 Olympics, which he will cover for NBC and share stories from his latest book, The Characters of the America’s Cup.
