TAFCOP is an acronym for Telecom Analytics for Fraud management and Consumer Protection. It is an initiative by the Department of Telecommunication to counter Identity fraud during sim card registration.

You can become a Vigilant consumer and save yourself from any unforeseen circumstances that may arise due to inappropriate use of your ID to register a mobile number, by anyone else. Check all your mobile numbers because they may be old connections and might have been registered using different IDs, available at that time, under your name. Also, help your family members and friends to verify their mobile connections.
