Simplex 35mm Hand Crank Projector Head B-325-D

Here we have a Simplex 35mm Projector Head. Inside by the gears was a number B-325-D. I believe this was used in the silent era and the early sound era. If you look at the projector head you can see it was well used. I want to leave it look like this. I have seen it on early silent Simplex 35mm Projector and on the U-Base sound Projector. I purchased two of them off Ebay and had to use the parts from one to make the better of the two work. After looking at it and changing the guide sprockets and the intermittent sprocket assembly and a lot of oil and grease it started to turn perfectly. The Gears in the back of it are pretty easy to get to and easy to replace. I also purchased a Simplex crank handle off of Ebay since I wanted to display this as a hand crank 35mm Projector Head. The video I shot is the film that was projected from this Simplex 35mm Projector head. I use a paper leaf bag to collect the film. It easily can hold 1000 feet of film. In the early photos of tent shows and projection rooms they would use a sack or basket to collect the film instead of a takeup reel which it came later. I used a Canon Power Shot A590 to shoot the video but it is hard to get a clear video picture. When I project it and see it live it is much better and the picture is a lot clearer. The 35mm footage is from a documentary that I had about Hollywood. I hand crank this footage in the video. If you listen carefully you can hear the sound of the Simplex Projector.
