Squamish watershed adaptation in the face of extreme conditions

Описание к видео Squamish watershed adaptation in the face of extreme conditions

In communities across B.C., we see the impacts of development and climate change on salmon habitat. On the Mamquam river in Squamish, community stewards have observed an increase in the frequency and severity of extreme weather events that wash away critical habitat. PSF-supported restoration work is underway in Squamish to create off-channel spawning and rearing habitat to help the watershed adapt to extreme conditions.
