Female Pelvis also called gynecoid pelvis is a bony ring formed by 2 innominate bones, 1 sacrum and 1 coccyx. It provides the passage for the fetus to pass through during normal vaginal delivery. It has 4 pelvic joints and several pelvic ligaments. The pelvic diameters are of obstetric importance as they affect the fetal passage through the pelvis.
