Why Dance for PD®? | Mark Morris Dance Group

Описание к видео Why Dance for PD®? | Mark Morris Dance Group

The Dance for PD® program offers dance classes for people with Parkinson's disease at the Mark Morris Dance Center in Brooklyn, The Juilliard School in Manhattan, and through our network of partners and associates, in more than 40 other communities around the world.

An on-going collaboration between the Mark Morris Dance Group (MMDG) and the Brooklyn Parkinson Group, the program also provides teacher training, offers master classes in other cities as part of MMDG's touring outreach program, and nurtures relationships among other organizations so that classes based on our model are widely available.

Dance for PD and MMDG are honored to be one of five 2014 recipients of Google Glass' #GivingThroughGlass grant. The organization will work with developers SS+K, to create the Moving through Glass app, an intuitive, portable, dance-based toolkit for people living with Parkinson's disease
