Sitiveni Rabuka, Prime Minister of Fiji, inaugurated his country’s new embassy in Jerusalem on Wednesday, following the US as one of the few nations to move its diplomats to the city.

This move has faced widespread criticism, especially as several Western countries, including the UK, France, Canada, and Australia, plan to recognise a Palestinian state during the UN General Assembly meetings this month.

While the United States, Guatemala, Honduras, Kosovo, Papua New Guinea, and Paraguay continue to maintain their embassies in Jerusalem, most countries have kept their missions in Tel Aviv in line with international law
