How do I talk to my child about coronavirus?

Coronavirus is in the news and your child may have questions about what it is and what can be done.

You might like to:
👐 Take extra time to play and be with your child, they may ask questions and share their worries.
🕒 Keep consistent routines, they help children feel safe and secure.
📺 Limit news coverage and watch with your child so you can answer questions and reassure them they are safe.
🤐 Be aware of the conversations you have with other adults. Children tune in to body language and tone of voice.
🧑‍🤝‍🧑 Discuss how we can keep ourselves, our friends and family safe by:
🙌 Washing our hands really well, in between your fingers, front and back - we may like to sing a song.
✨ Washing your hands a lot - like after going to the shops, when you arrive at kindy or childcare and /or when you get home.
🤧 Catching our sneezes in our elbows, like Superman.
🗑️ Throwing dirty tissues in the bin.
