The Hans Hartung, A salutary freedom (Une liberté salutaire) exhibition is a retrospective featuring some sixty paintings, including some of the artist's masterpieces, as well as a dozen previously unseen pieces.

The exhibition also reflects the history of the 20th century and of a man, a great painter, who moved towards excess and the letting go of gesture. A salutary freedom that would serve him well from youth to death.
