Who started World War 1? - Part 1

Описание к видео Who started World War 1? - Part 1

The beginning of World War 1 was a nightmare of alliances. Three empires - Britain, Russia, and Austria-Hungary - were trying to hold on to their power, and the German Empire had recently come into its own power. Everyone was suspicious of each other, but a network of alliances made it incredibly easy for the entire continent to end up in a massive war.

When Archduke Franz Ferdinand, heir to the throne of the Austro-Hungarian Empire, was assassinated by a young Bosnian Serb freedom fighter who believed that Bosnia should be independent of Austrian rule, everything quickly toppled in a geopolitical domino effect.

Follow this epic tale of how World War 1 really started, as told by a couple of soldiers on the trenches.
