The publisher of the National Enquirer has been subpoenaed as part of the federal investigation into President Donald Trump's longtime former lawyer Michael Cohen (right). Investigators are asking for information related to a $150,000 payment the media outlet made to a former Playboy model in 2016, the Wall Street Journal reports.  Karen McDougal was paid the hefty sum by the National Enquirer after she alleged she had an affair with President Trump. The payment was for the exclusive rights to her story, but the newspaper never published her allegations. The head of the media company, David Packer, (left) is a longtime friend of both Trump and Cohen.
