Fourth Avenue North in downtown Nashville is closed Monday morning or a water main break.

A spokesperson for Metro Water Services says a contractor hit a water line. The number of those affected is currently unknown., but the spokesperson adds this is not a residential area.

The water main break is on 4th Avenue North between Harrison Street and 3rd Avenue North.

A contractor has hit a water line. We are not yet certain how many people are affected. However, this is not a residential area.

Use caution is you are driving in the area. FOX 17 News will update this story when the road is reopen.
