City On Stilts Abandoned in the Arctic. Locked and Forgotten

This place caught my eye as soon as we were rolling into town. This is an abandoned work camp, built as a town for an oil company. All under one roof, this facility has everything necessary to live comfortably and happy. There is a large industrial kitchen, leisure rooms, sauna, gymnasium, fitness gym, squash courts, movie theatre and hundreds of rooms. There is also a medical facility full of equipment and supplies, as well as its own power generation capabilities. This is similar to a large work camp today, but this one is in a fixed location on stilts. Being on stilts, it is very well protected from rot, rodents and the elements, so even after having been abandoned for decades, it is in immaculate condition. Typically, even after several years, abandoned buildings begin to deteriorate quickly, and foul odour is the first sign. This whole facility smells fresh and clean. Luckily it is very remote, so has seen very little vandalism, I hope it will remain the same.
