After emerging from the Welland Canal, we cruised west toward the Dalhousie Yacht Club—ready to unwind and reflect on one of the most unforgettable legs of our adventure so far.

Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed by Mary, who took care of our docking assignment, arranged fuel, and shared great tips about the club and nearby attractions. Just as we settled in, we got a surprise visit from my daughter, who lives in Hamilton—a heartwarming reunion topped off with a delicious meal at the clubhouse restaurant.

Our dock was perfectly placed on the west side of the harbour, just steps from downtown. We explored the historic town, enjoyed a peaceful breakfast the next morning, and embraced the calm as a rare rainstorm rolled in. With nowhere to be, we stayed docked, played cards, and soaked in the serenity of the harbour.

This stop was a beautiful blend of connection, comfort, and quiet moments—definitely one for the memory books.
