Ten days after 9/11, Rais Bhuiyan was shot in the face at point blank range by a white supremacist. The near-death experience inspired him to set up World Without Hate, an organization dedicated to breaking the cycles of violence. Bhuiyan even campaigned to save his attacker from death row, as he explains to Michel Martin. Their conversation is part of Exploring Hate, our ongoing series of reports on antisemitism, racism, and extremism.
