"Children Fix Adults" - CRC@25 Cricket Match

DHAKA, 02 December 2014: A group of adolescent cricketers led by UNICEF National Goodwill Ambassador and national cricket icon, Shakib Al Hasan played a nail-biting match against an adult cricket team comprising of politicians, journalists and former national cricket players. The 10-over-aside match was organized to mark the 25th anniversary of the Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC).

The 25th anniversary of the CRC is an opportunity to seek new ways of solving problems to help overcome barriers that still prevent millions of children from realizing their right to survive, thrive and make the most of their potential through ‘innovation’.

As a part of this ‘innovation’ approach, UNICEF Bangladesh in collaboration with the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) arranged a friendly cricket match titled, ‘Children Fix Adults’.
