RT video no. 75

Are you a father trying to navigate the journey of raising Gen Z or Gen Alpha kids?
In this video, I’m sharing practical parenting tips and guidelines that can help you connect more deeply with your children, encourage their independence, and raise emotionally resilient individuals.

As dads, here are a few things we can do to support our children:

Communicate to connect: Focus on Building Trust and Connection.

Give the freedom to fail: Allow them to make mistakes and learn from them. That’s how they build confidence and decision-making skills.

Model respectful behaviour: Children learn by watching you.
Mental health conversation

Be Open to self-work
Be ok to have difficult conversations
Be a part of their world: try to understand today's digital world and guide responsible tech use.
Don’t compare your times to theirs: Saying “When I was your age…” often shuts down conversations. Stay curious instead of critical.
Be Honest
Listen a lot
Don't compete with phone or tech
Educate them about family culture, values and ancestry
Know it's okay to cry.

Pause and reflect: How did your father connect with you growing up?
We’d love to hear from you. Drop your thoughts and experiences in the comments!
