Описание к видео BMW F750 GS - Should you replace original tires? 50/50 tire 2,000km review

Maybe you have a BMW F750GS or maybe you are wondering which motorbike to buy, or which motorbike is the best brand. Do you want on-road, off-road or a mix of the two? Well, I hope my regular input on my experience helps. Anyone with a BMW F750 GS will have received the bike with road tires, typically a 90/10 tire - and in recent years possibly the Anakee III tires. But should you replace those original tires? Here's my review after riding 50/50 Anakee 'WILD' tires for the last 2,000km.

Anakee III are a good set of tires, and if you only ride on the road, in dry conditions, they will probably last you a good 10,000km (approx. 6,200 miles) - and possibly more if you're a steady rider.

BUT... what I found, is with my preference to doing a bit of 'moderate Off-Road riding, together with sometimes having to ride in the rain, I had a dilemma for a few months on whether to switch to 70/30 tires or 50/50 tires.

This video talks about the pros and cons, and I talk about it whilst riding on smooth asphalt, rough concrete, twisty country roads, and finally in off-road conditions (unsurfaced back roads, dry & wet mud, loose gravel and rocks.

Hopefully the content will give you some thoughts, ideas and explanations to help you decide if you should (or need to) change your original road tires.
