Federal Railroad Administration Steam Locomotive Safety Training Video

Описание к видео Federal Railroad Administration Steam Locomotive Safety Training Video

On June 16, 1995 Gettysburg Railroad 4-6-2 #1278 had a minor boiler explosion severely injuring the crew. An investigation from the national transportation safety board determined the cause was poor training and maintenance. This video was produced shortly after as a training video for those operating steam locomotives. I believe several new rules were enacted for steam locomotive maintenance as a result of the incident.

The footage is off of a disk I get copied from a VHS so enjoy the mono sound.

I got a hold of the video from a friend being very valuable to me as my father is in it (green hard hat in from of 2317 at 12:18 on the video) who passed away too early at 36 in 1998. I am actually uploading this video on what would be his 54th birthday.
