Gmail යනු අප සතුව ඇති වඩාත්ම වැදගත් Account වලින් එකකි. ඒ වගේම මෙම Google Account එක ඔබගේ වටිනා Bank, Paypal, AdSense, social media, Phone, laptop යනාදිය සමඟ සම්බන්ධ වී ඇත. එසේම මෙම ගූගල් ගිණුම වෙනත් කෙනෙකුගේ අතට පත්වුවහොත් ඔබේ වටිනා දත්ත, රහස්‍ය දත්ත සියල්ලම ඔබට අහිමි විය හැකිය.

Phishing attacks :
එය සිදුවන්නේ hacker ප්‍රහාරකයෙකු, විශ්වාසදායක ආයතනයක්, පුද්ගලයෙකු ලෙස වෙස්වලාගෙන, spam ඊමේල්, ක්ෂණික පණිවිඩයක් හෝ කෙටි පණිවිඩයක්, links විවෘත කිරීමට රැවටීමෙනි. ඉතින් මේ වගේ සැක සහිත් දේවල් විවෘත නොකරන්න ඔබ වගබලා ගත යුතුයි. හදිසියේවත් ඒවා විවෘත පසු ඒවා ඇතුළට යාමට කිසි දිනක ඔබේ username, password එකතු කිරීමෙන් වලකින්න. බොහෝ විට මේවා ඔබට පෙනී සිටින්නේ ඔබ නිතර use කරන logging pages හා ඉතා සමාන ලෙසයි.

What is a phishing attack :
Phishing is a type of social engineering attack often used to steal user data, including login credentials and credit card numbers. It occurs when an attacker, masquerading as a trusted entity, dupes a victim into opening an email, instant message, or text message. The recipient is then tricked into clicking a malicious link, which can lead to the installation of malware, the freezing of the system as part of a ransomware attack or the revealing of sensitive information.
An attack can have devastating results. For individuals, this includes unauthorized purchases, the stealing of funds, or identify theft.
