Make me a piñata in the form of a donkey AGAIN, but this time use C4D Cloth Dynamics.

Описание к видео Make me a piñata in the form of a donkey AGAIN, but this time use C4D Cloth Dynamics.

After recording my previous tutorial, I decided to see if a cloth dynamics rig would work on this specific model. And I was so thrilled that it did that I decided to make a follow up video.

This version uses a single cloner to map the pieces of paper to the polygon centers of your object. Connectors bind the paper to the donkey model, which is also used as a collider for the paper.

This is a much more powerful setup than the hair rig from the previous tutorial. A linear field applies the color to the cloner instances and the body which makes making changes a breeze.

The video thumbnail was a render I did after the recording using what I made and just playing around with lighting and the color palette. I actually did use a Shader Field and an image to create the colors.

The donkey 3D model is free on SketchFab here:
https://sketchfab.com/3d-models/donke...

Software used:
Cinema 4D 2023.2.1
Redshift 3.5.15
Greyscale Gorilla Plus

And I realize I've watched so many tutorials by ‪@RocketLasso‬ and ‪@igobyzak‬ and that I sound like a combination of the two of them. Now I just need a better recording setup.

** NOTE: There is no need for a collider tag in this scene because the donkey model has a cloth tag on it already that's used for the connectors. And that is effectively a collider for the paper. **
