Here's a quick video in which I discuss my favourite kit at the moment, from XLN Audio's Addictive Drums 2 Plugin. As a self-professed midi-drummer, I'm always looking for that right kit, that right sound for the job. I own a variety of drum-plugins but Addictive for me has always been exactly what it says on the tin. I aim to show you why in this demo.
The preset in-question is called 'Modern Soul R&B - Dirty Snare' for the curious.

I'm extremely glad to have these drums back in my collection. I loved them from the early days when I first heard them in 2007, but when Addictive switched to version 2, I was unable to use them for a while, until an enterprising friend made them accessible via the #NativeInstruments #KompleteKontrol keyboard as #NKS presets that I can load up myself. As a blind keyboard-player, I found the interface that XLN Audio used instead of their ADPreset format to be entirely inaccessible which made me unhappy for a long time.
