From Dundalk to Ardee | Chapter 5 Part 12

Описание к видео From Dundalk to Ardee | Chapter 5 Part 12

Cuchulain calls Laine trippy, which she tries not to take personally. She attributes it to her wild imagination. She thinks how in the Irish myth, the Cattle Raid of Cooley, Max her ex is actually the warrior Cuchulain, and she must help him learn the rules of Geisa (what she thinks of as karma) for him to live past seventeen. She thinks of the young people she used to watch over at the C-Home when she was a counselor to youth in shelter care and thinks about the kids still. She reflects that it must have been good for the kids to be exposed to the different personalities of their counselors and learn to survive there in preparation for the job market. She relates how long-term goals aren’t always recognized during the writer’s lifetime and a person must endure many obstacles to attain them like the late works of many authors. She wonders about her research on the Corlea Trackway. When archeologists discovered the ancient Irish trackway, the first road in Ireland, they found little remains of the builders, who built it. It made her wonder about these ancient builders' existence, lifestyle, and traits and admire their dedication to making something grand without proof of reward.
