One costume can go to many events with just a few inexpensive changes.

The Jane Austen Evening is put on every year in January, by one of our local English Country Dance groups here in So. Calif. We have several practices beforehand so that the dances become more familiar and we can enjoy the ball more.

The following day, The Historical Tea and Dance Society puts on an Unofficial Jane Austen Day at one of the local botanical gardens. It is another excuse to wear our Regency Era finery and stroll about the gardens for a couple of hours. Lunch at the tea room is very popular that day.
