Fishing Hook Stuck In Seal's Neck

Описание к видео Fishing Hook Stuck In Seal's Neck

Hooks are not as dangerous to the animal as fishing line entanglements. Fishing hooks are painful, but they usually only cause a localised puncture wound, while fishing line chokes the animal, cuts into the neck or flipper, and even restricts the seal's ability to move and hunt. This young seal baby got the worst of both worlds because a recreational or subsistence fishermen did not see the need to take his rubbish home. Entanglements are never the animal's fault. Nature has not equipped them to fight against plastic pollution and human negligence. An unknown amount of marine animals around the globe die annually because we cannot be bothered to take care of our environment.
