📖 Story Recap (Season 1):
In a world constantly under threat from monstrous creatures known as Kaiju, humanity’s last line of defense is the Japan Defense Force (JDF). Our main hero, Kafka Hibino, once dreamed of joining the JDF, but ended up working in kaiju clean-up. His life changes forever when he becomes infected and gains the ability to transform into a kaiju himself—earning him the name Kaiju No. 8. With this new power, Kafka fights to protect humanity while hiding his true identity.

Kafka Hibino (Kaiju No. 8) – the reluctant hero with kaiju powers.

Mina Ashiro – Kafka’s childhood friend and the strong commander of the JDF’s 3rd Division.
