The 3 stages of puppy development are so important, yet they are often overlooked.

I’ve posted this video before but I feel it’s important to show it again to remind everyone how important puppyhood is to raising a dog.

Puppies go through developmental stages similar to the way a baby/child goes through different stages of development.

The difference is a puppy moves through these stages much faster than a human baby does.

As you can see there are only a couple of months in each stage and before we know it our little puppy’s hormones are already changing in adolescence.

That’s why is very important to understand what these stages are and how to lead our puppies during each stage.

Most people waste puppyhood by focusing on their own pleasure and excitement instead of focusing on raising a puppy in a healthy way to create a balanced adult dog.

I’m not telling anyone what to do, but wasting these key stages of development with constant baby talk, excessive petting, allowing puppy to invade your space, practicing tons of excitement without limits can have detrimental effects to a puppy’s development.

It’s not a coincidence that the most common age for shelter dogs is 6-18 months.

Most humans just don’t have the knowledge of what to do and through that ignorance create an unstable adult dog.

Thats the goal of this content.

To give free education.

I’ll make videos on things to do during each of these stages in longer format videos.

If you missed puppyhood, it’s not the most ideal but we can definitely rehabilitate the dog if you are willing to change as I help clients all over the world rehabilitate dogs on a daily basis.
