A Guided Tour of Swami Tadatmananda's Ashram – Arsha Bodha Center

Описание к видео A Guided Tour of Swami Tadatmananda's Ashram – Arsha Bodha Center

Several people have requested a video tour of Arsha Bodha Center, the beautiful ashram where Swami Tadatmananda has lived and taught for the past 23 years. Arsha Bodha means wisdom of the rishis, the sages of ancient India.

Arsha Bodha Center is located on a country road in a serene, leafy part of Central New Jersey, surrounded by fields, forests, and farms. Here, you can truly see why New Jersey is called the "Garden State." Yet, it's in the midst of one of the most highly populated areas of the country, easily accessible to spiritual seekers who want to learn and practice meditation or immerse themselves in in traditional study of the Bhagavad Gita, Upanishads, works of Shankaracharya, and other works on Advaita Vedanta.

In 1986, Swami Tadatmananda moved to his guru's ashram, Arsha Vidya Gurukulam, in Pennsylvania's Pocono Mountains. There, he studied under the renowned traditional teacher of Advaita Vedanta, Swami Dayananda. After being ordained as a Hindu monk and teaching there for many years, Swami Tadatmananda left the ashram with his guru's blessings in 2000 to establish Arsha Bodha Center.

All are welcome to visit the ashram. It is open during classes. The current schedule is:
Saturdays: 10 am - Guided Meditation, 11 am - Bhagavad Gita Class
Sundays: 10 am - Vedanta Class, 11 am - Satsang (informal Q&A)

During summer, Satsang is held at 6 pm in the lovely picnic area, and the Vedanta Class is on hiatus.

Please note: the ashram has no residential facilities.

Swami Tadatmananda is a traditionally-trained teacher of Advaita Vedanta, meditation, and Sanskrit. For more information, please see: https://www.arshabodha.org/
