Nyles Lannon - LOVE AGAIN (Official Video)

The first single from the Nyles Lannon album - The Clouds and the Sea (Badman Recording Co.). The mesmerizing video was created by filmmaker Jonathan Caouette (Tarnation, Walk Away Renee...). Drawing on his work as guitarist in shoegaze band Film School, the song is bathed in a layer of dreamy atmosphere but maintains a focused clarity and melodic flare that has become Lannon’s staple.

Nyles' work with director Jonathan Caouette has evolved into a continuous collaboration. Caouette’s psychedelic-collage approach has influenced Lannon’s writing, and vice versa. Videos and songs have multiple versions and remixes, with different meanings in different contexts; the results are a fascinating display of two artists riffing off each other. “I'm really into exploring a kind of symmetry in my work when it comes to the emotional relationships that can be created between images and music. Working with Nyles and getting to churn out these videos for him has been some of the most gratifying work I've gotten to create and cut. The work is making me want to go totally DIY - the way that I started back in 2004 when Tarnation was created.
