A notorious snatcher was apprehended red-handed by the team of PS Nand Nagri, and the snatched mobile phone was recovered from his possession on the spot.

On 26.01.26 at about 07:20 PM, HC Gaurav Sharma and Ct. Pankaj, while patrolling near the CNG Pump, Theka Market, Nand Nagari, noticed a person running from the side of District Park and being chased by members of the public, who were raising an alarm of “chor-chor.” Acting promptly, HC Gaurav, with the assistance of the accompanying constable, apprehended the said person.

During the search, one mobile phone was recovered from his possession. Upon interrogation, the apprehended person disclosed his identity as Mukul @ Mukhi (26 years), S/o Saran Singh @ Bablu, R/o MCD Flats, Nand Nagari.
Meanwhile, another person, who introduced himself as Prince (21 years), S/o Ramdas, R/o Mandoli Extension, Delhi, approached the police officials and reported that while he was traveling in an auto-rickshaw from Bhopura Border near Bank Colony Bus Stand, one person suddenly approached him, snatched his mobile phone, and fled from the spot. Prince also identified the recovered mobile phone as his own.

Accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 82/26 under Sections 304(2)/317(2) BNS has been registered at PS Nand Nagari, and the accused has been arrested. The accused Mukul was found to be previously involved in seven cases related to robbery, attempt to murder, and theft. Further investigation in the case is in progress.
