Originally a super hit Bengali Film song sung by Manna Dey with a sentimental mood and for a rainy film sequence. Lyricist of this song is the rebel poet of the Bengal, Kazi Nazrul Islam and Kalipada Sen is the music director of this Bengali film "DEVDAS" released in 1979 where Manna Dey sang this sentimental song as a playback of Mahanayak Uttamkumar who played the role of CHUNIBABU. But originally Jaganmoy Mitra had turned this song as a basic recording of his own released in 1941.
