Hello friends! This was our last full day in Barcelona and what a way to end our incredible Catalan food trip with some of the best meals we had the entire trip! Hang around and experience with us some God-tier seafood at La Cova Fumada, some CHONKY churros from Xurreria Manuel San Román and a disgustingly good traditional Catalan meal at Restaurant Portoles.

0:00 - Intro/Rambla del Mar
1:01 - La Cova Fumada
If your local hipster joint that serves overpriced eggs bene is what you call a "hole in the wall" because it's a block away from main street in your city then I would consider reassessing your definition right away because La Cova Fumada is a TEXTBOOK definition of a hole in the wall. This is an incredibly authentic and rustic spot where the locals come to dine. Except some of the best seafood in the city, mouth-watering tapas, great atmosphere, all completed by the chalkboard menu.

5:53 - Barceloneta Beach
Touted as one of the best city beaches in the world, Barceloneta beach is a great spot to unwind and appreciate that refreshing Mediterranean sea breeze. It is quite a long beach but commercial activity buzzes throughout so you're guaranteed to not get bored.

6:38 - Caelum
A unique cafe that I found through Altas Obscura (a great tool to research unique travel experiences that I highly recommend!). The food they serve here are all traditionally made by monasteries! Their attractive window display is enough to lure anyone.

7:32 - Xurreria Manuel San Román
This was our 2nd time visiting Xurreria but we came back with a vengeace! We missed out on their CHONKY filled churros the first time since we were there too early but BOY were they something. We got nutella, cream, dulce de leche, strawberry and banana so bascially the whole shebang and more! Overall one of the best places to get churros in the city with a great location in the city centre to match.

12:03 - Restaurant Portoles
Wow...This meal caught me off guard. We honestly weren't expecting to go here but the "screw it it's our last night here and we're not coming back for a while" mentality kicked in. So we took the subway there and it ended up being one of the best meals we had in Barcelona! Restaurant Portoles serves a great selection of traditional Catalan food at incredibly reasonable prices. And yes it's got a handwritten menu so you know your meal is gonna be good!
