91-year-old Maybelle, a member of the All-American Girls Professional Baseball League popularized in the 1992 movie "A League of Their Own," has a throwing session with another one of baseball's female trailblazers.

Ila Borders threw a fastball that topped out at 83 mph in her earlier career as one of baseball's groundbreaking women.
But the 42-year-old wasn’t bringing near enough heat for Maybelle Blair, an even earlier trailblazer as a member of the All-American Girls Professional Baseball League, made famous in the 1992 movie, “A League of Their Own.”
“Throw it hard enough so it sticks,” Blair, who turns 91 on Jan. 16, said from a bullpen pitching mound this week at Boston Red Sox Women’s Fantasy Camp before imploring Borders more with each cautious toss.
