NYC Japan Parade Highlights

Highlights of beautiful and fun scenes from the Japan Day Parade New York held on Central Park West on May 15th, 2022.

Japan Day is an annual festival held in Central Park to celebrate Japanese culture in New York City since 2007. Having cancelled 2 consecutive years due to pandemic, this year returned with the inaugural Japan Day Parade.
Japan Day Parade was held along Central Park West from 81st to 68th St. and around 71st St is beautifully red-carpeted and staged for performance.

Varieties of organizations associated Japanese culture from the traditional ones such as Mikoshi, dance, music, taiko, martial arts, various art form and the recent pop-culture including animation & cosplay fans participated and famous ones including George Takei, Sailor Moon Super Live! and Hello Kitty.
