Civivi Sentinel Strike and Vision FG Damascus - Detailed Review

Описание к видео Civivi Sentinel Strike and Vision FG Damascus - Detailed Review

A detailed review of two Civivi best sellers, the Sentinel Strike and Vision FG in Damascus steel.

NOTE: The Vision FG uses the 'Superlock Mechanism', designed by Snecx, and throughout the video I refer to this as a 'recoil lock' which isn't strictly correct, as the lock is more like a combination of the compression lock and recoil lock. I wasn't going to re-record the video to correct this, so please take this as the correction.

First up is the Civivi Sentinel Strike Damascus. This compact and durable pocket knife ensures effortless cutting in any situation. The Sentinel Strike has a reverse-tanto blade shape. Its straight edge makes it an ideal knife for so many cutting tasks. The knife is easy to open with the thumb studs, flipper or large thumb hole and it has a very smooth opening action. The blade is locked in place with a button lock. It is also fitted with a stainless-steel pocket clip (glass breaker) that allows the knife to be taken anywhere.

The blade is made from Civivi's own damascus steel for a truly unique look. The handle is made from aluminium with a choice of colours and the integral spacer, made from FRN, helps keep the weight down.

The Civivi Sentinel Strike is a hefty EDC knife with its blade length of 9.1 cm, and is especially suited for demanding cutting tasks. This is not a compact knife! When closed, it measures 12.5 cm in length and it weighs 100 g.

Secondly Civivi Vision FG, a unique pocket knife, designed by Snecx Tan. The knife is enhanced with the 'Superlock Mechanism', designed by Snecx. The 'Superlock Mechanism' is something Snecx and WE Knife worked on for years. (In this video I have been referring to it as a recoil lock - see NOTE above.)

For this lock, the spine of the handle has a titanium bard which hinges just below the pocket clip. The bar is spring loaded and is pushed into a cut-out in between the blade and the stop pin, blocking the blade from moving - the lock gets stronger the more pressure you apply. Push the bar backwards and the blade unlocks easily.

With its blade length of 8.6 cm, this knife is ideal for easy carrying. When closed, it's only 11.4 cm long, and it weighs 125 g.

The blade is also made from Civivi's own damascus steel.
