Basel Film Music Festival 2025 featured the premiere of the live-concert-to-film adaptation of the film "Schellen-Ursli" by Academy-Award winning director Xavier Koller featuring the brilliant score of long-time Hans Zimmer companion Martin Tillman and the stunning ‪@21stCenturyOrchestraLucerne‬ and orchestrator William V. Malpedel. It was the first time ever, that a Swiss film was accompanied by a live orchestra. The second evening featured the best gospel- and choir-moments of films performed by the Swiss Gospel Singers, featuring songs from films like Sister Act, The Lion King, Elvis or Death on the Nile. Additionally, we had one hell of a party in the city-centre of Basel with DJ Qube who played remixes of the most well-known film songs and scores so many of you treasure in your hearts!
