Zilah first came across this 1930s gem on Craigslist. Despite the glitchy listing photos, she immediately recognized the home’s potential—the Spanish-style arches, the timeless L.A. tile work, and most of all, the lush apartment garden that made the space feel like home.

A vintage and secondhand enthusiast, Zilah has filled her apartment with treasures from Facebook Marketplace, local antique shops, and her travels. The result is a space that feels fresh, playful, and uniquely hers—think chrome pieces inspired by the 1980s, hand-crafted ceramics and woodwork from Mexico, and funky art that bring a touch of whimsy.

Naturally, as a plant designer, Zilah’s home overflows with rare and unusual greenery, many displayed in unique vessels she’s sourced secondhand. And then there are her most adorable roommates—her free-roaming rabbits who bring even more warmth and whimsy to the space.

For Zilah, this apartment is more than just a home. It’s a true sanctuary, layered with plants, vintage finds, and playful details that reflect her personality. It’s a place that feels lived-in, welcoming, and full of life.
