🐶 Over 400 Street Dogs Rescued in Progreso By This Shelter!

In December 2023, we visited 𝗧𝗥𝗔𝗖𝗬 𝗚𝗜𝗡𝗚𝗘𝗥'𝗦 𝗗𝗢𝗚 𝗥𝗘𝗦𝗖𝗨𝗘 & 𝗦𝗔𝗡𝗖𝗧𝗨𝗔𝗥𝗬 in Progreso, Yucatán, Mexico - a shelter that has rescued 𝗢𝗩𝗘𝗥 𝟰𝟬𝟬 𝗦𝗧𝗥𝗘𝗘𝗧 𝗗𝗢𝗚𝗦 in the last 5 years!

Tracy is a Canadian entrepreneur, who makes her home in Progreso. She operates a beauty and medical spa, is a master baker and outstanding chef, and has a huge heart for the many dogs in the street who need the opportunity for a safe and loving home.

The shelter has a small staff and depends on volunteers and fundraising to support these efforts. She has video calls with potential parents and matches them up with 3 or 4 dogs that best fit the parents' lifestyle and surroundings. Often, this means flying the dogs to Canada for their forever home.
