Holistic Vet Care vs Traditional Vet Care: what's the REAL difference?

Preventing disease is the foundation of any healthcare system be you a human, dog or cat! So what then is the difference between holistic vet care vs traditional vet care? The distinction made by “alternative” veterinary practitioners that they provide holistic vet care and “conventional” or "traditional" veterinarians simply treat the disease symptoms.

Is this true or (like most things) is it a bit more complicated than that?

To discuss this we first need to understand what holistic means. Well, holistic veterinary medicine is characterized by the treatment of the whole individual, including their environment, diet and lifestyle, rather than just considering and treating the symptoms of the specific disease.
