Presidential Assistance to Farmers, Fisherfolk and Families in Region II 06/10/2024

President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. personally extends assistance to farmers, fisherfolk and families affected by the El Niño phenomenon in Region II (Cagayan Valley) in a program at the Ilagan City Community Center in the City of Ilagan, Isabela on June 10, 2024.

Fulfilling the Administration's commitment to provide immediate response to communities hit by the dry spell, as well as to further empower the nation's agricultural workers under the 'Bagong Pilipinas' vision, the President turns over farm and fishing machineries, equipment and toolkits to beneficiaries of various government agencies.

Apart from these, the Chief Executive leads the ceremonial distribution of Presidential assistance amounting to PhP10,000 each to 10 beneficiaries from the Provinces of Isabela, Cagayan, Nueva Vizcaya and Quirino; PhP50 million each to the Provincial Governments of Isabela, Cagayan and Nueva Vizcaya; PhP10 million to the Provincial Government of Batanes; and PhP30.92 million to the Provincial Government of Quirino.

Other government agencies also present to give various assistance include the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) and the Office of House Speaker Ferdinand Martin Romualdez.
