Speaker 1: Today, we're taking a look at a Rear View Safety G-Series Backup Camera System, that system gives you the convenience of a backup camera displayed on your mirror. It replaces your rear view mirror, it still gives you features that you enjoy. This one has a built-in compass so if you look right here, there's a little display area. I know it's kind of hard to see on video but it does display a compass as well as a temperature reading. Then when the reverse is activated, you can see right there that it comes up showing what's visible by the camera. This is a universal mount installation. It comes with the mount, it comes with everything you need to get it installed.
Features a bright 4.3 inch, color TFT digital display. Also, the camera is located right here so the camera would, obviously, want to be located towards the rear of the vehicle. It has an adjustable bracket so it has a set screw on it so that we change the angle of the camera. It comes with a grommet for where the wiring passes into the vehicle, that's going to keep dirt, grime and moisture from getting into your vehicle so grommet's included.Comes with plenty of wiring. This mirror replaces your rear view mirror that's in the vehicle.
It has all the wiring, connections are easy to make. They're threaded connections, a lot of these are threaded so that way they don't accidentally become disconnected. Then this right here is the wiring for your thermostat so this would get routed, usually, towards the front of the vehicle. It does come with detailed installation instructions to help walk you through the whole process and it gives you guidelines of where you want to install this depending on your vehicle and your application but plenty of wiring.Another neat feature I want to point out is it actually has two digital input so you have one input for the backup camera and then you have another input for like a DVD or video so it's just another video source input. You can control that AV1 input using the power control here on the mirror and then the backup camera goes to the AV2 input.
It's, basically, a three-wire design so on this system, I already have it hooked to my power box so I can show you what it looks like but you're going to have your red wire which is your main power wire, you're going to have your black wire which is your ground and then you're going to have your green which is what triggers when the reverse is activated so that is the wire that triggers the camera there. Whenever we hit our reverse, whenever we go into reverse, that'll automatically display on the mirror itself. Now, this is a night vision backup camera. Features an IP68, keeps out dirt and moisture, 170 degree viewing angle and as you can see, it's a really nice compact design, adjustable mounting bracket. Again, this comes with everything needed for the installation. The mirror face measures 10 inches by about two and one quarter inches.
We'll go ahead and see what it looks like in a low light setting. You can see there, it's really nice and bright. Even though we have the lights off, that camera still provides a really great display, really nice quality so it does have that nice night vision design built in.It also comes with a hardware kit so it comes with some components for your bracket, some adhesive backing, an Allen tool to adjust your set screws and it comes with some cable ties that we can secure your wiring up and out of the way as you run it. It also comes with a remote control so you can hit the menu button and then your little menu right here pops up so you can adjust your brightness, contrast, color, night vision. Hit it again, you can adjust things in your system like your scale, language, presets. You have compass adjustment, your angle calibration, angle offset. Temperature, you had your temperature unit and temperature offset. Then it goes back to being blank so you have multiple settings there and then this just allows you to navigate through everything. If we have our camera on, we have options when it comes to adjusting our grid lines depending on the vehicle because every vehicle is different and this is a universal installation. That's going to do it for today's look at the Rear View Safety G-Series Backup Camera System.
