A big UP government update just dropped for MBBS and BDS admissions in 2024. They’ve published a new rule book on their official website that clears up a lot of confusion, especially about who can apply. If you want a seat in a government medical college, you’ll need a UP domicile or to have done your Class 10 and 12 from the state. Private colleges, however, are open to students from any state.

Getting registered for UP medical counseling will cost you ₹2,000. On top of that, you’ll pay a security deposit of ₹30,000 for government colleges and ₹2 lakh for private colleges. Make sure you have all your documents, domicile proof, mark sheets, and ID ready well before counseling starts.
