Join me as I explore beautiful Muddy Creek Forks PA, Home to the Maryland and Pennsylvania Railroad Preservation Society. This is one of the last surviving areas of the MPA / MaPa (for Short) railroad. The railroad was the result of 2 mergers in 1901 - Baltimore and Lehigh RR and the York Southern Railroad. The rails would be used until approx. 1999. The City of York portion of the railroad was eventually purchased to form (today) YRC - Yorkrail Logistics that still uses portions of the MPA for freight to this day. Most of the railroad in Maryland is completely erased. Some stations or relics can be seen, but the rails are long gone.

Bel Air MD has portions of the railroad converted to a beautiful heritage walking / biking trail.
