THE BACK STORY

Gingerbread, as a flavour is so popular - from adding syrups to coffee, favourings to bread and of course adding it into confectionery - we spotted some amazing gingerbread chocolates in Melt at Selfridges on Oxford Street, London.

Here at Twinings we were scratching our heads on how to make the wonderful healthy green tea more yummy... in fact for compulsive drinking. The main problem we are told by you, our lovely tea drinking fans, is that Green Tea, is bitter and you drink it to feel a bit better about doing something good (at around this time of year).

After much tasting, trailing and quite frankly pouring down the sink, we came across the idea of making a range of Green Teas - sweet.

We all love a sweet, naughty 'something' to indulge ourselves. There is nothing like the endorphin rush of chocolate or even something savoury.

Born to Twinings - the Green Tea Team, was the idea of mixing natural flavouring (these tend to be natural essences reduced down and infused with the tea) of Gingerbread, Salted Caramel and Caramelised Apple with our Green tea.
