Why do people often think UFOs are aliens?

Because there are many stories about UFOs flying "unusual" ways (changing direction quickly, hovering, silent), plus the influence of movies, rumors about Area 51, witness accounts… all of which fuel the imagination.

Does current evidence confirm aliens?

To date, there is no publicly available, verifiable evidence proving that UFOs are definitely alien spacecraft. Many cases, after analysis, turn out to be drones, satellites, airplanes, balloons, atmospheric mirages, or equipment/camera malfunctions.

So where does the "alien hypothesis" stand?

It belongs to the group of hypotheses that are "possible but lack sufficient data." That is: if a phenomenon cannot be explained by common causes, then people consider a more unusual hypothesis. But "difficult to explain" doesn't automatically equal "aliens."

A reasonable (both insightful and realistic) perspective:

UFO = question. Alien = a possible answer. To jump from UFOs to aliens requires very solid data: materials, measurement samples, multi-sensor observation sequences, independent verification… not just a blurry clip.
