Welcome to the 29th Purbeck Film Festival, an exciting mix of 95 screenings of the best of UK and international films from 24 countries. These are held at a range of varied and charming venues from Bridport to Boscombe - from the seaside media and arts hub that is The Mowlem and Wareham’s beautiful Rex cinema (which has been showing films for over 100 years) to churches, village halls and even an old waterworks transformed into a unique screening space.

We also have more special guests from the industry than ever before, headed by perhaps the leading British director in film and theatre, Sam Mendes.

Here at the Purbeck Film Festival, we are dedicated to keeping the communal thrill of cinema screenings alive and well as simply the best way to enjoy this art form and appreciate all that film can give. We hope you will find both old loves and new favourites, and be transported to different times, worlds and emotions.
