Today marks seven years since The Tragically Hip played their last show with Gord Downie in their hometown of Kingston, Ontario on August 20, 2016. I was with about 28,000 other people in Market Square behind Kingston City Hall where a big screen had been set up to broadcast the sold out concert that was taking place three blocks away in the K-Rock Centre. My son made this video of the historic crowd while Gord delivered remarks and observations before the first encore.
