Full review of the MK4 Toyota Supra Turbo. Just what is it that makes the Supra such an iconic car?

In my opinion, the engine is what's most responsible for making this car so great. The base model came with a 220-horsepower 3.0-liter inline-6, while the turbo model came with a sequentially- twin turbocharged version of that engine. Nowadays, it's common to see these engines (called the 2JZ) tuned to produce over 1,000 horsepower and spit flames out the back. They sound pretty spectacular with aftermarket exhaust setups, the revs are so loud!

The beautifully formed exterior of the Supra also makes it a classic. The oval headlights, low intakes, long hoods, and big wings make these cars so eye-catching. This one is finished in a deep blue with aftermarket HRE rims and a big exhaust tip in back. There's also a red one tuned to make 1,000 horsepower, thanks in part to that enormous turbo!

The interior of the Toyota Supra Turbo is nice as well: There's a lot of leather and plastic, but it has a somewhat high-quality feel to it. The seats have a unique but comfortable shape to them, and the 3-spoke steering wheel found in later MK4 Supras is a great touch. Perhaps my favorite feature is that all the controls are tilted towards the driver to give them complete control. A great design!
