This temple was built about 16 hundred years ago by Anshu Varma at the bank of Netrawati river at Hanse (Thulo Bensi) Phant. The temple in the plain area in Hanse is still situated in the middle of the Paddy field where the servicemen of the temple go to work and produce the paddy and wheat.
Tripura Sundari Temple is known as Salyan Kot Bhagawati. It is also welknown as Maha Mai and Salyankot Devi.
